Crystal Care: Five Easy Steps

The lure of beautiful crystals cannot be denied. Whether you have 1 or 100, they speak to us in ways that we know we must bring them home. I see our role as guardian rather than owner, for their gifts to us are massive, but they like to be co-creators rather than indentured servants to humanity.

Their love is vast and teachings great. They are among our most direct gifts from the loving bosom of Gaia. Some crystals will open us to the cosmos while others will heal and soothe our emotions. The ways to use crystals will be far reaching but if you pay mindful attention, the gem itself will guide you best.

Recognizing this partnership as cooperative, knowing how to take care of crystals while in your possession will be paramount to how well they can benefit you. A few ways to cleanse, charge and program crystals are offered to ensure your financial and spiritual investment are most worthwhile.

Caring for your crystals is easy and fun. Just follow these five simple steps:

  1. Soak. Add ½ tsp of charged salt to every cup of alkaline water in a glass bowl and stir. Cleansing clears foreign energies and built-up toxins from the crystal matrix.
  2. Smudge. Hold the crystal in your hand and light a FR Incense and smudge round it for 108 times.
  3. Sound Off. Place your crystal close to a singing bowl and lightly strike it three times. Activating increases sources of energy and light accessed by the crystal.
  4.  Recharging restores the energy levels within the crystal.
  5. Dedicating your crystal is the final step of defining your intention for what you want to co-create.

Cleansing and recharging are steps you’ll want to repeat periodically. You’ll activate and dedicate your stone when you first receive it.

Love your crystals and it will shower you with Love and Light.

Namaste.
