Nov 10th Connective Session: New Learning – Deeper Reflection Part 3

This post is a continuation on my earlier posts : Deeper Reflection Part 1  & Part 2.

This session we discuss 2 points:

4) “Dissolve Your Ego with Love”

Non reaction to the ego in others is one of the most effective ways not only of going beyond ego in yourself but also of dissolving the collective human ego.  Its time we go for a “ego-detox”now.

If the cosmos is a grand ocean, we are all part of it. We are one with the ocean, not individual drops in the ocean. When we think of ourselves as individual drops, we feel separate in our boundary and in our feelings. This is what is called ego. We become driven by feelings of ‘I’ and ‘mine’. As long as this separation remains, we never experience the energy of the ocean that is love, we can never experience that causeless and surging love.

Love is being in the flow with Existence, to be totally with it. Ego is like frozen ice. Love is like liquid water. Only when we are liquid do we become part of the ocean. Then we don’t have any private goal or destination. Each moment is blissful, incredibly ecstatic, just going with the plan of the cosmos.

Ego ceased to exist in Present and Ego can’t grow in a flowing love environment. As long as we are living in present state of love, ego ceased to exist.

One of the way to Free Yourself From Your Ego is to Choose Love.

Yeah, I know how that sounds, but give it a chance. In the words of Gabrielle Bernstein, a fabulous spiritual and motivational speaker, “Whenever you’re afraid, it’s proof that you’ve turned your back on love and chosen to have faith in the ego.” See, in her philosophy, love is the only emotion. Fear is an illusion. I know, it’s heady stuff, but what helped me most was this: as soon as you have a fearful or anxious thought, tell yourself (again, from Gabrielle Berstein), “love did not create this thought, and so it is not real.”

Even if you can’t quite get on board the love train, don’t worry about it. Just start telling yourself “if love did not create it, it is not real.” Trust me on this. You’ll have a whole new perspective on your situation. It’s amazing how solutions suddenly occur to you once you’re no longer trapped in the fear/anxiety loop.

5)  “The past has no power over the present moment.”

This is easy to comprehend. You are creating your reality, right now. With each breath you inhale. With each thought you accept as truth. With every step you take. With every sight you see.And all the feelings you feel.

The past does not have to linger. You are not who you were yesterday, or five years ago.

You are constantly becoming. You are a process. And you are on a journey.

We will continue our next session on more new learnings and reflection.

See you all in our next session again.

Nov 1st Connective Session: New Learning – Deeper Reflection Part 2

This post is a continuation on my earlier Deeper Reflection post.

090130_iq

To start the session, we discussed :Why do Smart People do Dumb Things. How can someone so Smart be so Stupid?

People buy high and sell low. They believe in superstition. They figure it can’t happen to them. People talked on the cellphone while driving.  They supersize their fries and burgers and order the diet Coke. I read an article somewhere recently saying that the reason smart people can sometimes be stupid is that intelligence and rationality are different.

“There is a narrow set of cognitive skills that we  track and that we call intelligence. But that’s not the same as intelligent behaviour in the real world,” Stanovich says. Stanovich is an adjunct professor of human development and applied psychology at the University of Toronto who studies intelligence and rationality.

Real world demands require more than intelligence but rational thinking styles and skills. Human thinking is the product of two different channels or systems. System 1 thinking is instinctive, emotion based and faster, while System 2 thinking is more deliberate, effortful and hence slower. We switch between System 1 and 2 subconsciously all the time.

It is not how well we think, but whether we choose to engage our brains for deliberate thinking that determines our rationality.

What this means is that even though we can, often we choose not to think. Thus, I always quote “ Thinking is the hardest thing to do. ~ Henry Ford”

I think its time to give our good old brain a workout!

Our session continues…. Deeper Self-Reflection

Deep Reflection on….

Reflection No. 3 Awareness – Whenever there is negativity in you, if you can be aware at that moment that there is something in you that takes pleasure in it or believes it has a useful purpose, you are becoming aware of the ego directly. The moment this happens your identity has shifted from ego to awareness. this means the ego is shrinking and awareness is growing.

Self awareness is developed through practices in focusing your attention on the details of your personality and behavior. It isn’t learned from reading a book. When you read a book you are focusing your attention on the conceptual ideas in the book. With your attention in a book you are practicing not paying attention to your own behavior, emotions and personality.

Think of learning to be mindful and self aware as learning to dance. When learning to dance we have to pay attention to how and where our feet move, our hands and body motion, what our partner is doing, music, beat, floor space, and other dancers. Self awareness isn’t learned from books and the Tango isn’t either.

Momentum Learning: What are you aware about yourself?

We will continue our next session on more new learnings and reflection.

See you all in our next session again.

Oct 13 Connective Session: New Learning – Deeper Reflection

Learning is both an active and reflective process. Though we learn by doing, constructing, building, talking, and writing, we also learn by thinking about events, activities and experiences. This confluence of experiences (action) and thought (reflection) combines to create new knowledge. Both action and reflection are essential ingredients in the construction of knowledge.

In our last sharing session,  we were privileged to spend time on deep reflection on a few topics.

Our Learning involves the focus on Plato’s directive, “know thyself” which can lead to a lifetime of investigation. Self-knowledge becomes an outcome of learning.

Deep Reflection on….

Reflection No. 1 : Allowing – Through allowing, you become what you are: vast, spacious. You become whole. You are not a fragment anymore, which is how the ego perceives itself. your true nature emerges, which is one with the nature of God.

Meditation:  What are your life rules? Peel them off one by one….

Reflection No. 2 : Knowing thyself – knowing yourself goes far deeper than the adoption of a set of ideas or beliefs. Spiritual ideas and beliefs may at best be helpful pointers, but in themselves they rarely have the power to dislodge the more firmly established core concepts of who you think you are, which is part of the conditioning of the human mind.

Momentum Session: Who am i ?

We will continue our next session on more new learnings and reflection.

See you all in our next session again.

September 29 Connective Goal Setting Session: Who you really are?

You were sent to earth with a mission to fulfill. This mission has to do with your passion. If you want to be happy and fulfilled with enthusiasm, you have to discover what your mission is and organize your life and activities in function of your mission.

Remember your purpose in life is to be Who You Really Are.

In our last sharing session, we started the session checking our energies alignment and then moved on to checking up our inner goals.

After which, I have shared that  “if you want guarantees in life, then you don’t want life. You want rehearsals for a script that’s already been written.”  We need to discover who we really are and live our life with flow. We believe that we are thoughts, emotions, and stories. Living is flowing.

Part of your reason for coming to earth is to evolve yourself and part of it is to serve humanity in some way. The process of evolving yourself is called your life purpose, and the service you came to offer humanity is called your life’s work. They are intertwined because as you evolve, you serve others in a much better way, and the process of serving others can also result in your evolution. Everything you do to evolve yourself and carry out your life’s work is an act of aligning with the Higher Will and your Higher Self. Allow your Flow to happen.

We did Astrology (Virgo & Libra) Reading on Self-Connection on the 2nd part of our session. We gain awareness on our past karma, what’s need to learn and apply to Present Life and what’s need to let go. Finally we also meditate to connect with our twin flame.

To end our session, i shared what i feel is the The Best relationship Vows ever (a version dedicated to my students) ….

To my students,I agree at a conscious level that the purpose of my relationship with you is and will always be to create an opportunity, not an obligation – an opportunity of growth, for full self-expression, for lifting our lives to their highest potential, for healing every false thought or small idea we’ve ever had about ourselves, and for ultimate reunion with God through the communion of our souls.

See you all in our next session again.

September 10 Connective Goal Setting Session: Self -Connection Part 2

1

We constantly seek a deeper experience of life, one way or the other. Whatever one may seek God, alcohol, meditation or any thing that one feels will provide relief, give pleasure or fulfillment you are only seeking to have a larger slice of life .

The intention is always the same, somehow to have a deeper experience, to extract a little more out of life, to find access to that which is not yet for you. The question is not of the intention as the intention is always the same; it is only of whether it works or not.

On the first part of our session, we were given two quotes to think about and to connect within ourselves. How these quotes relates to our very being.

“Time is fluid and flows backwards and forwards simultaneously”

“No longer being pushed by your past, instead being pulled by your unique destiny.”

I trust that we had very powerful realisations and appreciation on this.  😀

In the second part of our last session, we had the opportunity to have deep reflection on some questions we wanted to asked ourselves. We were blessed to have infused with new cords along the meditation, new templates and new soul programming.

Meditation helps you create a deeper understanding of yourself

The true self is buried deep in the psyche. On the level of daily consciousness, you are not your true self, but a reflection of the greater society: You are restrained from the understanding of your true self by the expectations of others, and by your own fears and doubts. In order to get beyond your idea of yourself and discover who you truly are, you need to go beyond everyday consciousness and into the deeper levels of consciousness available when you focus your mind in meditation.

Concluding….Connecting….

The nature and basis of your experience is within you. Pain and pleasure, joy and misery, agony and ecstasy happen only within you. The very seat of your experience is within you. So why try to extract joy from outside? At best, the outside can provide a stimulus.

If you depend on the outside to bring joy to you, understand that the outside never happens a hundred per cent the way you want it. Those who think that there is something like an ideal situation are not in touch with reality. No situation or person will ever happen a hundred per cent the way you want it. But at least you should happen the way you want yourself to be. Then there would be no need for you to be in pursuit of your happiness. So the question is not of intention or direction, but of doing that which works.

See you all in our next session again.

Aug 29th 2013 Connective Goal Setting Session: Self -Connection

In our last week session, we aligned with our higher Self through the wisdom of  meditation, and to recognize this connection when we achieve it. Once we align in this way, we are empowered. Our purpose becomes clear, we are on track, and our life begins to embrace a flow of grace and ease.

With both meditation, crystals and intuitive oracles, we created a safe, reliable, and relaxing way to access our Higher Self and connect with the spiritual realm. Much like a bridge, this process helps you transition into Self-trust so you can easily move from third-party reliance to a place of knowingness. The connection started when you’re ready to fully commit and connect with your Higher Self so you can live in balance and on purpose. We help open your portal by shedding light on your divine purpose and inner-gifts. The soul is what anchors both your physical and celestial body. It is the portal and the pathway to your inner-truth and intuitive knowing.

The Higher Self is your full potential. It’s everything that you are and everything that you are capable of being. Your Higher Self operates at a higher level of understanding. It’s purpose is to bring us enlightenment, insight and to direct us. It also aides us in the function of operating at a higher vibration.

Many people in the world today are running blindly, haphazardly seeking their elusive higher Self and purpose with frustration levels that border on insanity. They feel so disconnected from life, people, and their callings that they change directions over and over without thought or without pondering possible repercussions. They are fearful and anxious about life without knowing why, and this disconnection is a root cause of the present rampant pandemic of stress-related disorders.

We highly recommend self-connective meditation whenever you feel you are ready.

Till the next session,

Namaste Om.

July 2013 Connective Goal Setting Session – Will I find True Love?

tRUE lOVE

Dear Connectors,

Many people ask ”how do I find love”? There are many affectionate, kind and wonderful people who are single – and wish they weren’t. So why can’t you find them? Why haven’t you been able to find the love you’ve always wanted? You can. You can escape the loneliness, the hurt, the pain – you can find love. You just need a little more information.

The first secret is to understand what true love actually is! It’s not quite the love you tend to see around you, in most books, on television and at the movies. Rather it’s the highest form of love, where you’re so connected with someone that loving is easy, serene, caring – true. Some people call it finding your soul mate and to even deeper connection – Twin Flame.

In our last sharing, we went in deeper, connecting with oneself. We uses the Seven Card Tarot spread to help us connects to our inner voice. Some of the questions addressed as follows:

1. Will I ever find true love?
2. Will the attraction be instant or a slow-burning realization?
3. What will this person be like physically?
4. What will this person be like emotionally?
5. Are there issues I needs to deal with that are delaying a meeting/relationship with this person?
6. Are there issues this person needs to deal with that are preventing a meeting/relationship?
7. When/where/how will I meet this person?

Up until recently most people, including scientists, believed love was about chemistry and the interaction of molecules and hormones within you. Chemicals forced you to act in certain ways and create what you perceived as love. But we all know that when you text or speak to your lover on the phone those molecules don’t cross space and trigger a chemical reaction. We now know there’s something more powerful involved.

Science now shows that those chemicals are set in motion by electromagnetic signaling, or what you might simply think of energy.

This echoes how we each know that we should look beyond the physical to find true love.

When you’re ‘in love’ your energies – such as those measured by your brain and heart waves – as well as those chemicals, emotions, thoughts and actions are focused and flowing together in one direction.

This is a little like a laser, which brings together and amplifies waves of light energy to make a powerful and illuminating beam that’s stronger than the individual light waves on their own.

So now you know that love is, ultimately, energy!

You are no longer at the mercy of those chemicals and don’t have to wait until you bump into someone else whose chemicals interact well with yours to experience love. You have more control than you realize over love! Once you understand the power of love you can then do something about it.

We will continue our next class with more learning.

Till our next sharing session.  Namaste Om.

With Love & Light,

Katherine Goh

P/S: Our next session is schedule on the 16th August at 5.00pm. See you all again.

July 2013 Connective Goal Setting Session – Wish For a Partner

Dear Connectors,

Once upon a time, little girls were told fairy tales about handsome princes with magical kisses who would ride up on a white stallion and whisk them away to the land called Happily Ever After. Then reality struck. The white stallion was a beat-up old car and the prince turned out to be a jerk. Happily Ever After seemed to be a never, Neverland.

Does it sounds familiar?

We all wishes for our Twin Flame or Soul Mate but sometimes may not be a smooth journey.

Then one smart princess decided to do some research. She discovered prayers, meditations, intentions and rituals Potent enough to manifest anything and everything her heart desired.
First she used it to get a parking space. Next she started a business and built a big, fun career.  Finally she used all her manifestation tools to land a soul mate. Not just any soul mate; the best soul mate ever! And in the process she discovered that happily ever after is really possible after all. Its all about the 3As: Attitude, Awareness and Actions.

She is happily married with her high school classmate, both of them working toward growing old together lovingly and peacefully.

Aaron Oracle

In our 12th July class, we have engaged  “Wish For a Partner” Spread for guidance – Will my desire for a partnership have a chance in the next six months? We integrated Tarot readings with Numerology and  Colour cards to our readings. The objective is to have awareness on this aspect of our life, working towards what we need to, paying attention to our Attitude towards how we deal with situations, events or people.

We will continue our next class with more learning.

Till our next sharing session.

June 2013 Connective Goal Setting Session – Family Relationships Blocks and Past Life Events

Dear Connectors,

Family Relationship Blocks

June session we were privilege to find out what to look for during our family outings. In healthy family relationships, people are able to trust and rely on each other for support, love, affection and warmth. Families often share common goals and try to work together to reach those goals. However, sometimes these may not come easy. No matter how close family members are, there bound to have conflicts.

Conflict is a normal and healthy part of family life. For example, families often disagree over things like house rules, which holiday destinations, what food to have for dinner which TV shows to watch. Families are made up of individuals who will sometimes have different ideas, wants or needs. Conflict can occur at any time so it is important for families to have effective ways of managing it. Conflict itself is not a problem–but the way it is handled might be. When conflict is managed in positive ways, family relationships are strengthened. For example, agreeing that everyone gets to choose their favourite TV show that week and to take turns watching something they enjoy. When not dealt with effectively, conflict can be stressful and damaging to relationships.

In our June session, Katherine has provided some suggestions about how to strengthen family relationships so positive experiences outweigh difficult ones. When relationships are strong and healthy, they are better able to withstand the stress of challenging times and celebrate the positive experiences.

Building positive family relationships is about dealing with conflicts as well as making time to relax and do fun things together.

Past Life Events

In the second part of the session, Katherine went on to work on past life events for a participant- Mr A. (Name is masked for privacy of the client).

One method of recall of a past life is meditation. Our mind can be put into a meditative state, similar to hypnosis, where past life recall can occur. This meditative state is similar to yoga, where the distractions of the world are filtered out and one becomes more in tune with the inner self. You must totally relax, and clear the mind of any thought. It is when your mind is completely clear of all the clutter and distractions of the world that you will often be able to see clearly into your past life. This may come as a vision, a clear image. It may be a brief image, and you have no control over what you see. With this method you will probably only see a little at a time, a gradual disclosure.

Till our next sharing session in July.

Namaste Om,

With Love & Light,

Katherine Goh

P/S: Our next session is schedule on the 12th July at 4.30pm. See you all again.
