25th June 2016 Connective Session: Compassion

Compassion is a part of Love – When you have love, you have compassion
For one to have compassion, you must first be completely passionate (love) about your Beingness. ~kg

Compassion

When you are not identified with anything, you will be absolutely virtuous. When you are not identified with anything, only then you are truly capable of compassion. When you are identified, you can only be biased. When you are compassionate you are always virtuous.
People being sympathetic to certain causes or certain people is not compassion. When you are passionate about everything, when your passion has become all encompassing, then you are compassionate. Compassion is not little pity or sympathy for something. When your passion encompasses everything, you are compassionate.

Compassion is the highest virtue in a way and compassion is not possible if you are identified with this or that. Only when you are able to just look at life as life, only then you can be compassionate. If you look at it as my life or your life – no compassion. When life is just life, there is compassion.

Virtue

Virtue is define as the behaviour of showing high moral standards. Virtue is for all human beings and compassion is always the highest virtue.

Compassion means including everything in your passion. When the whole existence is involved in your passion, you are compassionate.

28th May 2016 Connective Session: The Flow III

Allowing Flow to return to your life

I believe that i’m co creating my experience with an energy that is part of me, that surrounds me and that is bigger than me. I like to most frequently refer to it as the Universe, but also it’s God or my higher self (inner guide). It’s my trust in a source of something to have faith in, and often that is just you having a trust in your inner self, your energy and personal power.

Now, when we are blocked in some way, it’s usually because we are IN OUR OWN WAY! I resonate with this idea a lot, sometimes I swear I can see myself looming in front of me.

I feel connected to my own feelings and totally trust the Universe has my back but can still struggle often to completely relinquish control.

SURRENDER

This is the word that you need, this is the word to replace control. This is the word that is infinitely better than ‘let go’.

I can tell you that ‘I Surrender’ is the most powerful mantra and thought process I have ever used. It is part of my daily practice. I have found an instant shift in many of my thought processes.

Therefore, to allow flow to return to your life, we need to surrender ourselves. When I say ‘I surrender’ my intent is that I am surrendering my anxieties, ego thoughts, obsessions, problems up on a plate, I am surrendering TO allow things to move forward naturally and as they should. I am trusting that there is a flow to my life and that by surrendering my control over things I am making way for positive change and opportunities. I am stepping back into my present moment and not trying to force things into my life.

Surrendering frees me from the negative patterns that my ego mind creates.

Today, start the “I Surrender” Mantra.

Namaste Om.

14th May 2016 Connective Session: The Flow II

The state of flow, or being “in the zone”, is a state of peak performance. The key to being in the state Flow is Manoeuvre. The attitude to manoeuvre with ease is flexibility and allowing.

The flow state has been described by the world’s greatest thinkers as the most productive and creative state of mind in which to work. In addition, positive psychologists–most notably Dr. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Ph.D.–argue that achieving the flow state on a regular basis is a key component of happiness. That is, by learning how to enter the state of flow you can increase your productivity, be more creative, be more flexible and be happier, all at the same time.

How Does It Feel to Be in the Flow?

These seven points summarize how some people responded that they felt when in the flow state:

  1. You’re completely involved in what you’re doing: you’re completely focused and concentrated.
  2. There’s a sense of ecstasy–of being outside of everyday reality.
  3. There’s a great inner clarity: you know what needs to be done and you get immediate feedback on how well you’re doing.
  4. You know that the activity is doable, that you have the necessary skills to complete the task successfully.
  5. You lose your sense of self and all of your worries and concerns drift away.
  6. You lose track of time and you’re completely focused on the present moment.
  7. There’s an intrinsic motivation—whatever produces flow becomes it’s own reward.

Did you notice similarities on what Katherine is doing in the gathering? Flow is a basic “ingredient” required to facilitate a soulvana “feast”.

Interestingly enough, the idea of flow came into being as result of research on happiness. Researchers began asking themselves: “What makes us happy?” and “When are we most happy”? As a result of this research psychologists realized that being able to enter the flow state–which is a very enjoyable experience–is a key component of happiness.

Conclusion

The ability to get into flow makes personal peak performances possible. It is a great experience and I would love to hear your own ways of getting in the flow or what you experienced being in the Zone.

Till the next time.

23rd April 2016 Connective Session: The Flow

While I truly believe that the choices we make and even the thoughts we think all matter greatly and affect the outcome of our existence, I also believe there is also another force at work and our role is actually more of a co-creator in our own lives. We all have unique gifts to offer the world, and certain passions that lie inside of us wanting to get out. This is our soul’s work. Our calling. It’s what makes us feel totally alive. The universe wants and needs us to do this work. In our daily lives, we’re constantly given signs to try to lead us to our higher self, enabling us to leave a positive impact on the world.

Going with The Flow

Going with the flow isn’t about being passive or lazy. It’s not about just letting things happen “to you”. It’s not aimless wandering. It’s a co-creative act.

“The flow” is the ocean of cosmic intelligence. It’s the substance that carries the whole shebang. The flow is life energy itself.  Going with the flow is responding to cues from the universe. When you go with the flow, you’re surfing Life force. It’s about wakeful trust and total collaboration with what’s showing up for you.

You can certainly worry less about the right move or wrong move. You’re not nuts, or submissive or lazy if you, like, go free form.

You’re a Flow Artist. Or a Ninja of Flow — take your pick. With keen senses, skilled daring, and the heart of a warrior. You’re daring to catch a wave of truth, again, and again, and again.

Go with it. Go with The Flow.

Namaste!

09th April 2016 Connective Session: Imprinting into your consciousness and unconsciounesss

Change Your Frequency To Change Your Reality!
Re-imprint / Re-program your limiting beliefs and habits To Change Your Reality
We change our limited beliefs and our habits, we will change our lives.
An imprint is a significant experience or period of life from the past in which a person formed a belief or cluster of beliefs, often in relationship to one’s identity. An imprint experience also often involves the unconscious role-modeling of significant others. The purpose of reimprinting is to find the resources necessary to change the beliefs and update the role-models that were formed (not simply to resolve the emotional issues associated with a particular event, as in the NLP technique of change personal history).
In order to be a new person, you must first think like the new person you want to be.

The conscious mind is where thoughts are generated. It is the one you use to think, make decisions and give orders to the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind implements what the conscious mind says without questioning. Here is where you hold all your beliefs (including limited beliefs) and habits (what you do every day). Our beliefs and habits control our everyday life.  The good news is if we change our limited beliefs and our habits, we will change our lives, so that means we need to change or reprogram our subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind learns through repetition and affirmations. By repetition we have formed our beliefs and habits and we can implant new ones the same way. If we want to change our life by implanting new beliefs and habits, the first step we need to do is to know exactly what we really have, do and be. When we know that we will realize what beliefs and habits we need to change or replace and attract what we REALLY want and always desired.
It is important to know that the brain is formed by four phases: Beta and Alpha in the conscious mind and Theta and Delta in the subconscious mind. When we are fully awake, we are in the Beta. When we start to fall asleep we are in the Alpha. When we are sleeping we are in the Theta phase and when we are deeply asleep we reach the Delta state. According to Sigmund Fred, we can access the subconscious mind when the brain is in Theta state, so we can easily imprint new beliefs or habits when we are in the Theta state.

26th March 2016 Connective Session: Re-Aligning Series – Spiritual Clean Up

My friend once asked me. So what do you do? I answered happily, I am a cleaner. Her eyes rolled and thought i am joking. So i reckoned, i had to affirm my reply. I continued and said firmly, i am a Spiritual Cleaner and i clean anything that am fated to work on. Spaces, Objects, Humans, Animals, etc.  Often, not many people understand what is Spiritual Cleaning or the importance of our work.

So, what does a Spiritual Cleaner does? I tried to goggle more information but there isn’t any definite explanation. However, you do see the connection of a Spiritual Cleaner to a Healer or Spiritual Cleansing. I feel they are similar, just differing names.

Spiritual Cleansing can positively affect your spiritual, mental, and emotional nature by removing negative elements you may be carrying, either as a result of mundane accumulation, or via the hurtful acts of an enemy, such as a jinx, hex, or curse. Throughout my work experiences, most of us accumulate negative energies through our day-day living.

Spiritual cleansing washes away negative conditions and opens the way for positive experiences. Spiritual cleansing has strongly positive affects upon the body, mind, and soul.

Everything is Made of Energy

You are a vibrating, microcosmic Universe. A multifaceted being made of energy, and intention. You are not just your body… You are a corona of light and frequency. Some call this the Aura… The rainbow layers of color that surround you. I call this your energetic story!

Your energetic story is composed of your thoughts, ideas and beliefs about the world, and how you fit into it. On this energetic level you are pushing and pulling things into your life. Interacting with the people and places around you.

Everything begins on the energetic level. The state of your health, the state of your life. The people and situations that surround you. Everything is an out picturing of your inner world. Energy is like currency… You invest in, and feed whatever you place your attention on.

Most of us live our lives unaware of this powerful spiritual truth. Once you begin to understand that you are energy, you can begin to shift your focus and consciously manifest the life you want!

Spiritual cleansing and protection is not just an act, but a way of life.  Making it a habit will fortify your energy, and refine your energetic story!

For others who have deep-rooted negative energies that requires “deep cleaning”, that’s where our work as a Spiritual Cleaner comes in, integrating our “cleaning method, tools and processes” to assist our clients to slowly dissolve the “toxins” that were built up in their mental bodies which may sometimes already hurting their physical body too.

Therefore, everyone should be our own spiritual cleaner at some level. Cleaning up our negative conditions and living our way towards healthier and happier life.

Namaste!

12th March 2016 Connective Session: Awakening Series : Self Inventory

A self-inventory report is a type of psychological test often used in personality assessment. A typical self-report inventory presents a number of questions or statements that may or may not describe certain qualities or characteristics of the test subject.

I have goggled for a definition of Self Inventory though nothing come close to what we had done for Self-Inventory discussion in our last meetup.

Last gathering, Katherine uses a method which is a little similar to Self Inventory report but was totally verbal.  14 questions were asked verbally and everyone had to answer YES/NO/Others (Don’t know , Neutral , etc..) to the questions without much thinking. The objective is to find out where and what are the resistances to the participants.

From the feedback, we can then explore the “Blueprint of the Inner Consciousness’ of the person.

Prior to the gathering, each participants were asked to prepare their five important pillars in their life. The pillars can be but not limited to Materials Success , Love & Romance , Health & Well Being , Family and Spirituality. During the gathering, the participants were asked to place their Life Pillars freely for the use in a Self Inventory Layout Tarot Spread. From the spread, we can then be guided which pillars received the most & least resistance and how we can then navigate our energy patterns or frequency towards a positive setting for self -alignment.

Till our next gathering. Namaste Om!

27th Feb 2016 Connective Session: Dramas

When you are not honoring the present moment by allowing it to be, you are creating drama.” ~Eckhart Tolle

Our topic in this gathering is Life Dramas. All gatherers sit in the session with some form of dramas (could have ended or in process) such as work drama, office drama, attachment drama..etc

Drama seems to be constantly surrounding us. But who creates all these life dramas? The answer is YOU!

How can we avoid unnecessary drama in our lives? In three words, stop creating it. Sound too simplistic? Read on.

More often than not, we create our own drama during peaceful, calm stages in life.

Why?

Boredom. Addiction to excitement. Restlessness. Letting the EGO control our lives.

It’s almost as if we strive for peace and happiness, yet when we’re living it, it’s not enough. Our egos can just be so accustomed to the inflation received during periods of drama — proving that we’re right, controlling people or situations, feeling justified in playing the victim to get attention. This happens when we’ve unleashed the ego to operate under direct influence of external events, rather than directing it via the world within, better known as our higher selves.

The best way to become aware of an “ego drama in the making” is to recognize and acknowledge it.

How can we avoid Life Dramas?

  • Avoid Giving Unsolicited Advice

I’m sure you know the exact way to fix everyone’s problems. The reality is you have no idea what you’re talking about, and even if you do, nobody’s interested unless they’re directly asking you. Keep your advice to yourself, and you’ll avoid a lot of unnecessary drama.

  • Mind Your Beeswax and Know Your Limits

Avoid the drama by minding your own business. People have a tendency to over-commit themselves. When you have too many commitments, you can’t focus everything you should on all of them. Things fall by the wayside, and you become a flake, no matter how hard you try. If you keep falling short of peoples’ expectations, they’ll all end up “against” you, and you’ll find yourself surrounded by drama.

  • Focus On Yourself

If you’re focused on getting ahead in your goals, you won’t even notice the drama. You’ll be so zoned in on your own future all the side-drama just fades into the background.

  • Learn To Say No

People will ask you a lot of questions. Don’t get involved. It’s that simple. And if someone you don’t want to talk to texts you with drama, don’t respond. They’ll get bored with it sooner or later.

  • Stop Gossiping and Smile

Gossip is a two-way street. It’s all well and good to tell everyone about how someone else gossips, but that makes you a gossip. The listener is a gossip, too. You don’t get to project your downfalls on others to absolve yourself from responsibility.

When you smile, you become the center of the room. You end up in the driver’s seat. If people come to you with drama, you can steer the conversation elsewhere. They’ll follow you because you seem more confident. If they don’t, you can confidently ignore them and walk away. No more drama.

  • Meditate

Life will always have drama – it’s unavoidable. Instead of letting it get to you, meditate. You’ll never find that fairy tale “happily ever after” life where everything is easy. The richest and poorest, youngest and oldest, biggest and smallest of us, have problems. The grass on both sides of the fence needs constant watering, weeding and mowing.

Without self-made dramas, life floats to the tune of the universe, and it’s this tune that miracles and magic are made of.

Namaste!

13th Feb 2016 Connective Session: Perspectives

With the Live Connective musical notes played by Katherine, we started checking out what lies ahead of us in the next 15 days with the help of our tarot cards through our healing music meditation

We all have our own personal path in life.

Our careers, our relationships, our spiritual path , our goals, our friendships , our material needs… Each decision we make is unique to ourselves.

But if there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s that no matter how different our paths may be, we’re all ultimately aiming for the same thing…

To experience more happiness and bliss.

But what elements of our lives contribute most to our happiness?

In 1960, Jung was interviewed by journalist Gordon Young, who asked, “What do you consider to be more or less basic factors making for happiness in the human mind?”
Jung answered:
“1. Good physical and mental health.
2. Good personal and intimate relationships, such as those of marriage, the family, and friendships.
3. The faculty for perceiving beauty in art and nature.
4. Reasonable standards of living and satisfactory work.
5. A philosophic or religious point of view capable of coping successfully with the vicissitudes of life.”
I find that the more mindful I am about happiness, the happier I become. Take the five factors Jung outlined above. By deliberately seeking to strengthen those elements of my life, I make myself happier.

In the second part of our soul nourishment, we were offered a meditative “meal”. This meditative meal is prepared by an Old Friend. Who is this Old Friend? Well, some of us called this old friend “ My Soul , A more matured and wiser ME” , An old man and even the previous life soul….” all these names are merely “Names”… Names are not important, what’s important are the essence of these “names” – these “Forms.”

After this meditative meal, Katherine hopes that all of you gained a new perspective of yourself.
Most of us struggle with seeing things from a different perspective. And many of us have to really work to view ourselves in a new light or give ourselves positive feedback. Kath hopes that by sharing this meditative “meal”, it will make it easier for you to pat yourself on the back and widen your horizons. It certainly has for me.

Namaste! Till our next gathering.

Who we are and What we do?

Our twice monthly Soul Nourishment Gatherings are categorised into four parts:

  1. The Awakening Series
  2. The Re-Alignment / Re-Imprinting Series
  3. The Power Booster Series
  4. The Integration Series

Katherine is committed to the transformation and evolution of human consciousness. This consciousness transformation arises through the integration of ancestral wisdom, which mirrors the evolutionary teaching of life itself. This is done in a supportive environment where people can voluntarily immerse in a guided process of self-realization.

The tools, practices and rites of passage that are cultivated within the sacred container of such a process allow each individual to resolve their cultural conditioning and uncover their unique existential qualities, talents and skills. From this realization, new ways are uncovered of harmoniously channeling and cultivating these gifts within a social community setting.

Being supported in the actualization journey of one’s true self while simultaneously supporting others reflects the symbiotic quality of Nature, which we are all a part of. This is a core value of Katcova. Being a conscious, responsible, open-hearted human being in a human body is the key to the blossoming of life on our planet.
