God’s Milk – Instead of being a cup, become a straw

God’s nature is to constantly bestow its love upon us. As the sages say, “more than the calf wants to suckle, the cow wants to provide it with milk.”

However having the capacity to accept it and being fulfilled by it is very difficult to do. Just look around at people in the world who receive a great deal of energy — talent, adoration, money, power. It takes a level of maturity to handle such light. How many young celebrities come out ahead and how many fall apart.

According to Kabbalah the way that we can be a constant receiver of such energy is to become a channel rather than a vessel. Instead of being a cup, become a straw. In this way, energy flows through us, rather than stopping with us.

How do we shift from a cup to a straw. Becoming more of a sharer, less of a receiver. Please note: I use the word “becoming” instead of “become.” Achieving this state is hard, it’s an ongoing process, and it’s played out throughout the course of our lives.

Challenging Moments, Resilience Moments and Supportive Moments

My first Rock Climbing…FUN & CHALLENGING. I love it. And, most importantly, it taught me things that I apply to my everyday life.

Don’t let go. – If a climb seemed out of my reach, I let go and gave up instantly. I’ve learned that in order to succeed, letting go is not an option; fear and feelings of inadequacy are totally normal in anything new or challenging. And while I may fall in my attempt to get better, I never let go. I will remember this.

Trust my partner. My climbing partner can be the difference between life and death — literally. Just like real life relationships, no?

If you don’t succeed at first, try a new approach. In climbing, there’s usually more than one way to make it to the top. It teaches me to look at the problem in a new way.

Don’t let fear get the best of me. Height can be a challenge for me. Trust me, it can feel scary when you are up there loh.

It’s not always about making it to the top. OK, so in rock climbing, making it to the top is important, but how you get there counts for a lot. And that’s the point. Climbing, like life, is a small series of goals and individual problems that enable you to get to your final destination.

Stay Healthy Passionately,

It’s Called Gratitude…

We radiate a different kind of energy when we’re frowning and gloomy, as opposed to when we’re smiling and happy. Smiling is a sign saying, “Enter,” whereas frowning says, “Do Not Disturb.”

Many of us find it hard to smile because we’re consumed with what’s missing in our lives. If only we woke up every morning with the consciousness that everything we have is on loan, it would be much easier to smile.

Think about how much brighter our lives would be if we spent more time obsessing over gratitude rather than lack.

The Law of Attraction often states that having a heart filled with gratitude will attract positive energy, new opportunities, love, friendship, and possibly even wealth.

Today, ask yourself what are you grateful for? I find it best to write it down in a self-made gratitude book, but if its too troublesome, you can also say it out loud in front of the mirror every morning when you wake up. Thanks to technology, we have i-gratitude application, a digital gratitude book that we can digitally record our gratitude in our Iphone & Ipad too.

Smart people practice gratitude. Be the Smart Woman or Man Now.

Live our life to the Fullest,

What makes you happy?

What makes you happy? Well, some of my friends like running, some enjoy a good book, while others prefer unicorns, glitter, and rainbows.

But here’s 5 easy ways that’ll make ANYBODY happy, no matter your personal preference. And why should you get happy right now? ‘Cause it’ll improve your health, stress levels, state of mind and give you a better perspective on your life

  1. Express gratitude! Either do it in a journal, say it to someone, or record it on GratitudeLog.com for everyone to see. Don’t just think it, express it. Just doing so will increase your happiness by 20–25%! So why not take a few minutes each day and say what you’re thankful for. It’s worth the joy you’ll receive.
  2. Unfollow negative people on Facebook and Twitter. Chances are you’ve got one or two people on Twitter of Facebook who seem to always have something negative to say. They might complain about traffic jams or work, but either way, it can be a big drain on your energy and mood. Remember, you are the sum of the 5 people you choose to hang around so choose wisely. If someone on Twitter is overly negative, just unfollow them. And if someone on Facebook is too negative, just click the little Hide button next to their names and you won’t see them in your feed anymore. Instead get fun and uplifting updates from POSITIVE People. And for more laughs and inspiration, here are some of my favorite people on Twitter to follow: P. Diddy, comedians Sarah katherinegoh and katcova, Louise Hay and Deepak Chopra.
  3. Lift your head and smile. Lots of studies have been pouring in that prove your physiology affects your psychology. If you’re slumped over and frowning, you’re going to feel down and mopey. So instead, smile. Smile to everyone you see and smile to yourself. Lift your head up, look up, and smile. Do it right now. It’s a lot harder to be depressed when your body is showing all the signs of joy.
  4. Meditate now. You don’t need a lot of time to do this and you don’t need any fancy candles or incense (for simple basic meditation). Just go into a quiet room, set your alarm or timer for 15 minutes and you’re set. Even if you don’t have your favorite meditation audio, that’s okay. Just take the time to focus on your breath, clear your mind, and welcome clarity and focus. When you take the time to de-stress like this on a regular basis, you’ll be amazed at the positive effects. If you only unwind and relax on the weekend, you’ll find yourself more stressed out and unhealthy in the long run. It’s like starving yourself for a week only to eat after 7 days. Instead just take 10–15 minutes and relax everyday by meditating. You’ll see the difference soon.
  5. Watch some funny videos that inspire! Thanks to the internet and Youtube we’ve been given a delicious buffet of inspirational videos. If you don’t know where to start check out the videos – Pay It Forward in a post i have updated. The video will most definitely make you smile.

If you’ve got any other tips to help get our happy on, drop a comment below Can’t wait to read them.

Will You Pay It Forward?

We have an unlimited capacity to give. Though, many people don’t recognize this capacity. They fear that they don’t have enough to give. That they’re not important enough to change anyone’s life. They are wrong.

Random Acts Of Kindness
If you don’t practice, and understand, the simple power of a random act of kindness, then you are setting limits on your life. Those limits keep you from living a life filled with the fun and joy that comes from simply being nice.

Thoughts Become Movie – Become Our Life

Some may have long known that our thoughts shape what we perceive as reality every bit as much as reality shapes our thoughts. We are more than mere observers of reality – we are creators. It is we who produce and direct our own movie – the same movie in which we ourselves are the stars. What kind of movie would you like to create today? Love story? Comedy? Drama? You have the CHOICE!

Be Conscious of your thoughts

You may have noticed that when you think positively, you tend to feel more relaxed and energetic. When you are upset, you are more likely to feel tired and lazy. These sensations are not coincidental. The way we think—our attitudes and outlook on life—strongly affects our physical state. Taking an effort to think positively, even if doing so feels like a strain, is vital to keeping your body healthy.

Into our Deeper Self

When you listen to a thought, you are aware not only of the thought but also of yourself as the witness of the thought. A new dimension of consciousness has come in. As you listen to the thought, you feel a conscious presence – your deeper self- behind or underneath the thought, as it were. The thought then loses its power over you and quickly subsides, because you are no longer energizing the mind through identification with it. This is the beginning of the end of involuntary and compulsive thinking.

When a thought subsides, you experience a discontinuity in the mental stream, like a gap of “no-mind”. When these gaps occur, you feel a certain stillness and peace inside you. You will also feel a subtle emanation of joy arising from deep within: the joy of Being.
